I got this for my VERY active short legged aussie mix that is never entertained enough. He has it all, ball launchers, busy mats, you name it. I got this in hopes that he would give us piece and be self entertained for a few minutes (he knows no end to play time). At first he wasn't any too sure about the toy but after he got used to a toy moving on it's own he started to have fun with it. Now it's like the ball is directly challenging him by not staying where he puts it so he must wage war against it. So now it's entertaining for all of us! I love that it is rechargeable and I don't have to buy endless batteries to keep him in play action. I also love how bright it is for when it gets thrown into tall grasses. The durability is also top notch, especially with my busy actively destructive bundle of terror with alligator jaws. I will warn you, if you let them sit and chew on it, they will figure out how to squeeze it really hard and pop it open, but that's hardly the balls fault lol Highly recommend this toy for high energy pets! Even my cats like to swat and run at it.
Jiggles more than rolls. At first he wasn't too sure about it but now he loves it!
Love this!! Entertains my puppy for hours
Best dog toy ever! We’ve had other bouncing balls, but they were too loud on hardwood floors. This ball has three different speeds and isn’t loud at all. Our golden retriever actually carries this with him all over the house. One charge lasts all day. I recharge at night. I HIGHLY recommend.
I got this ball to try with my 15month old Pitbull, and he absolutely loves it. At first he was somewhat scared of it, but it was funny to watch him conquer his fears and eventually go in for the attack. Now he carries it around in his mouth even when the shaking and vibrations are going off. It entertains him for about 15-20min before he wants to play with something else, but the next day he is back to wanting to play with it again. It's not his favorite ball, but it's a nice change to keep his very active and smart mind engaged. The directions weren't very clear, but I eventually figured it out on my own. It came fully charged, which was nice, because he wanted to play with it as soon as he saw me take it out of the box. To get started, you unscrew the 2 halves of the ball from each other, which exposes the inner device core and the charging port. To "turn it on", depress the crescent-shaped button until the light comes on. Then, you quickly decide what mode you want, which is represented by a pink, green, or blue light. If you pass the color you want, just keep pressing the button to cycle back around through the colors. After that, you need to screw the cover back on or it won't start working (not a defect, just the way the device works). To shut it off, press the crescent button again until a yellowish light flashes then goes off.Be aware that the ball doesn't keep moving 'non-stop', which is intentional, so if you think it's not working wait 5-10 seconds or roll it on the floor. I noticed that if it was left alone for a long period of time it kind of shut itself off. The ball is made of a slightly durable foam-like material, which my dog hasn't destroyed yet. It doesn't squeak or make noise, and is able to bounce a good bit for having a mechanical core. I've thrown it pretty hard against walls and the ground, and it hasn't come apart or stopped working. The size is slightly larger than a tennis ball, and it still fairly light. It keeps a charge for several days of periodic play time.I'd say this is a good value for the price as it's a unique toy that engages your pet's brain in a safe and controlled way. If you want an interactive toy that bounces super high or has large movements, I'd look for a different type of ball. This one is on the milder side, but a good entry-level pet that has never seen one of these before.
